My PC is just an average PC for gaming (terrible for recent games but more than enough to run older titles).Īnd every old title I want to play and throw at it it will run the title just fine. How some multi-core PCs can run the game in a very smooth way and others struggle with it and this is not even the worse steam port on the GTA series. I'm using Windows 10 on an HP Envy Laptop with all my drivers and everything up to date. I even tried the Nexus mod for it, still nothing. Originally posted by Doantek Snusnu Vauntetto:I just tried this and every other compatibility option and nothing worked. I hope this was useful for the people who were experiencing the same problem as me, thanks for reading. Now close all that and and open the application in the local folder. On the tabs at the top go to compatibility, once on there at the bottom press 'change settings for all users'įor this part you want to tick compatibility mode and open the drop down menu to windows 98/windows meĪfter you have done that go to settings just under that and tick the 'run in 640x480 screan resolution' once all that is done press apply and then ok. Once it is open you see the application file gta-vc, right click and go to properties. What you want to do its go into the games library and right click on Vice CityĬlick on properties and and go to local files and then browse (It'll take you to the main folder for Vice City) Now onto the fix that most of you may be experiencing! Next they said to uninstall the Rockstar games launcher and reinstall it, so i did that and again never worked! So i thought to myself why not just try to uninstall and reinstall steam again and install Vice City again, as you can guess by now the way the whole story is going it didn't BLOODY WORK!!! haha

they went on to saying make sure everything is disabled and no programmes conflicting with Steam or Rockstar games launcher, so i did all that and it never worked! I just recently went through the whole process of contacting Rockstar asking what the issue can be.

Now i'm sure that most of you all have/had the same issue as me and it wasn't working!!! Are you having that issue when you want to play you going in to library and go to GTA-VC and want to shoot peoples heads off with a sniper and see how many stars you can accumulate, then you press play and the 2 seconds later it just stopped (not even loaded at all) and you get pissed off as to why the heck it isn't working.
